November 2025
An interesting set of numbers comes to light when I look at the Branches that have the highest number of units.
Below the top 10 branches.
Branches:
Tassie Travellers 55 Capricornia Tourers 48 Sunshine Nomads 47
Gippsland Gypsies 46 Sugar City Pioneers 45 Golden Westerners 41
Border Hoopers 37 Moreton Bay Drifters 35 Sydney City Slickers 32
Lakeside Drifters 31 Limestone Coasters 31 Toowoomba Trekkers 31
With the National Muster well and truly over, paperwork completed and payments made, it was time to reflect upon our time in Charleville.
To the members of the Club, thank you for your participation, I was overwhelmed at the participation at the various activities. Each day as the numbers came for the various activities, we had to notify the Murweh Shire of the changes. Just as an example the WWII Tagalong tour is traditionally held with 20 participants. The Shire made it work for us by doubling the number of participants, the same as the Outback Date Farm and every other activity.
Happy hours saw members relaxing and talking about the day’s activities, the bakery, what was the best coffee shop. Did you receive your discount at Golders.
Triva night was busier than I had seen, with teams having a great time. Our charity for the muster was the RFDS with two raffles being held. The first ran until Wednesday evening and the second raffle ran until the dinner function. The local businesses contributed to the prize pool along with contributions from members and member benefit suppliers. The result was we raised $1887.50 for the RFDS.
Manufacturers Monthly.
I know this one is not about the Caravaning Industry, but we forget what type of manufacturing Australia is involved in today.
Gilmour satellite milestone boosts space industry.
"Australian Space Company Gilmour Space Technologies has confirmed the successful operation of its first multi-mission satellite in orbit, marking a significant step forward for the nation’s sovereign space capability.
The 100- kilogram ElaraSat MMS -1, launched aboard SpaceX’s Transporter -14 mission in June, was designed and built in Australia. It carries a hyperspectral imagery from CSIRO, the national science agency.
Since reaching orbit, the satellite has completed commissioning, verified bus systems, and demonstrated reliable S-band communications and X-band downlink.
This is a proud moment for our team and partners”, said Mark Grimminck, head of satellites at Gilmour Space."

Crusader Caravans
Crusader Caravans has launched a new brand designed to make locally built caravans more accessible to Australians.
The range, Dreamhaven, combines Crusader’s long history of award-winning caravan design with a focus on affordability. The models are designed to compete directly with imports, starting at $68,990.
The Dreamhaven range reflects our belief that caravanning should be simple, practical and accessible by more Australians.
As many will know by now the Australian Caravan Club has engaged New Way Media to enhance our social media platforms. Chis New was at Charleville and has produced a 24-minute video, which is now on the Club’s You Tube channel.
clicking the "Bell" (Notifications), and "Thumbs Up" (Like) and "Share" on the videos will improve our metrics.
I encourage you all to have a look at the video and press the Bell, Thumbs Up, and share with your caravan friends.
As a result of the work on Facebook the Club is becoming known as a Leading Club in the industry. I have been taking calls from various ABC radio stations to comment on caravaning issues. I have been contacted by Yahoo News for comment on topics.
As an example, our Facebook add reached 197,750 views in the first week of the campaign and the largest increase in member units in the past 12 months.
The administration will be closed over the Christmas New Year. The closure will be from the
22 December 2025 till the 5 January 2026
As this will be the last Pulse newsletter for the year 2025, Judy and I, along with your ACC board, would like to wish you all a Safe and Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year.
We look forward to seeing you all in the New Year, and remember, just have fun, and have a great time.

Crusader Caravans have gone from a “stick and tin” caravan to a full composite van. The process was undertaken when Crusader moved into a new factory in Somerset. Crusader has won the CIV Manufacturer of the Year award for the third time in 2024.
The caravans are now built in a production line facility, think Ford. Holden etc. There are 22 workstations totaling 181 people on the production floor that together produce one caravan every 54 minutes. The 54 minutes translates to 8 caravans a day, producing 40 a week now with plans to ramp up to 50 a week by September.
Another attraction in Kakadu, Twin Falls, will reopen next dry season after infrastructure upgrades. There are plans for significant investment throughout the park to re-establish it as one of te world’s leading National Parks. Kakadutourism.com
During the week I was reading Manufacturing Australia and found an interesting article about the adaption of 3D printing. Bruder, a high-end manufacturer, had run out of taillight housing. They approached a 3D printing company, and the results were:
3D printer housings were 3 x Lighter
Cost of Product = $9,
Time to print > 3hours
2 – 6 hours turnaround time for design modifications.
The original housings cost $118-, and 3-week turnaround time.
