Members of the Australian Caravan Club (ACC) Wide Bay Burnett Nomads branch had plenty to celebrate when they held their Christmas muster and Annual General Meeting at Kingaroy this month - the branch was also celebrating its 10th anniversary as a branch of the ACC.

The ACC was established in 2006 as a national organisation.  The ACC Wide Bay Burnett Nomads branch of the Club was formed on 2 December 2007.  Branch members reside principally in the Wide Bay region with a large membership base in Maryborough and Hervey Bay.  Members live as far north as Bundaberg.

“As the third ever ACC branch to form, our Club is extremely thankful to the members of the ACC Wide Bay Burnett Nomads,” said ACC Chairman Craig Humphrey who made a special trip to Kingaroy to join in the festivities.  “Over the past decade, many members of the branch have made valuable contributions to our Club and have been a driving force in membership recruitment and growth, policy, and Club administration.”

“Congratulations and thank you to the members of the branch for the past 10 years.”

ACC Wide Bay Burnett Nomads branch President Daryl Smith said branch members were very proud of their contributions to the success that the ACC is today.  “Our members joined the branch for many reasons.  Some joined for the tremendous social events and musters and to share RV adventures and experiences with like-minded people.”

“Others joined because the main objective of the ACC is to represent the interests of the RVer.”

“However no matter why our members joined, we all seem to have a great time at our branch musters and that’s the main thing,” Mr Smith said.

Mr Humphrey said that the ACC is one of the largest RV Clubs in Australia.  “We are the Club for all RVers and all eligible RV owners have equal membership rights.  We welcome owners of caravans, pop tops, motorhomes, campervans, slide-on campers, camper-trailers, and 5th wheelers without discrimination.”

“ACC membership brings with it a huge range of advantages including member benefits, free Farm Stays, and social and fun activities including muster and tagalong events where our members share RVing experiences with like-minded people.”

“We also have an active team who advocate on issues affecting RVers to all levels of government and the caravan manufacturing industry.”

“Any RVer living in the Wide Bay region including Hervey Bay, Maryborough and as far north as Bundaberg wishing to make enquiries about joining the Australian Caravan Club’s Wide Bay Burnett Nomads branch, should contact branch secretary Jenny Rehren by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots.
