Arlec Australia has issued a recall on two power board models due to serioussafety risks following incidents with these powerboards. Consumers areurged to take immediate action to prevent potential injury or death.
Affected models:
- PB36-L – 6-outlet surge protected IP55 power board, grey in colour.
- PB34UPD – 4-outlet surge protected IP55 power board with USB PD power supply, grey in colour.
Affected models are marked with either "PB36-L" or "PB34UPD" on the base of thepower board. Affected models are also marked with the date marking “8/24”.
Why the product is being recalled?
The power boards do not comply with flammability requirements. A seal to prevent water entering thepower boards is non- compliant. This can affect electrical parts causing the plastic materials to ignite.
Incidents have occurred with these power boards and there is a risk of serious injuries or death, and damageto property if the power board catches fire.
What should you do?
Stop using the power board and unplug it from power immediately. Return your product to any Bunningsstore for a full refund.
