When the ACC Tropical Tourers (Townsville) ‘invaded’ the Australia Day weekend branch muster of the ACC Sugar City Pioneers (Mackay), it was cause for some great Australia Day celebrations!
The joint branch muster was held at Wangaratta on the Beach at Queens Beach, Bowen in North Queensland.
Australian Day celebrations started with a barbeque breakfast feast, with the camp kitchen decorated with balloons and a giant Aussie flag. Next was morning tea with what else but lamingtons decorated with the Australian Flag, plus a talk on insurance and roadside assist facts.
Over the course of the muster, members enjoyed dinner at Queens Beach Hotel, a Pot Luck Dinner, and explored the many attractions in and around Bowen, including attending the Rodeo by the Reef event, and escaping the heat at the Summergarden Heritage Cinema.
With both branches boasting lots of new members, there were many first-time muster attendees many of whom have already signed up to attend their next branch muster!
