Mt Warning Rainforest Park

Address: 153 Mt Warning Rd, Mt Warning NSW 2484, Australia (http://www.mtwarningholidaypark.com/)

Mt Warning Holiday Park is at the base of majestic Mt Warning on the far North Coast of NSW. The park is situated on fifteen acres surrounded by mountain streams and rainforests with 150 powered and camping sites.

Mount Warning (Wollumbin) was named by Captain James Cook in 1770 on his voyage of discovery as a warning to seafarers of the dangerous reefs that surrounded this section of the Australian coastline. The Caldera of the Mount Warning Shield Volcano is the second largest in the World. Following its last volcanic eruption 23 million years ago the magna chamber stood more than 2000 metres above sea level. It has eroded over the years to its present height of 1157 metres. Because of its height Mount Warning (Wollumbin) is the first place on the Australian mainland to receive the morning sun. The 360 degree views from the viewing platforms at its peak are breathtaking. Mount Warning was dedicated as a National Park in 1966 with inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage Listing in 1986.

Mt Warning Holiday Park has a range of guest facilities including swimming pool, camp kitchen, laundry facilities, TV room, games arcade, tennis court and much more. The drinking water throughout the Park is from our Volcanic Spring. Whilst you are staying at the Park why not climb Mt Warning (be the first to see the sunrise on mainland Australia). Visit our surrounding National Parks and discover the native wildlife and birds. Or just sit back relax and enjoy the tranquil environment.

By prior arrangements dogs are permitted in certain areas of the park.
