With the assistance of the weather, fine blue skies and quite warm, day 2 of the Queensland Caravan Show has seen a steady rise in the flow of visitors calling at our stand.  What is surprising us is the general level of knowledge in the community about the ACC.  Many of or visitors already know about the Club.

{rokaccess !guest}We have been approached by several suppliers of products within the industry for our views on particular products, as to usefulness, marketing of the product and so forth, and have gained valuable advertising agreements for both The Nomad and the ACC website, and in some instances  a member benefit for purchase/use of the product/service. Importantly too, we have been able to light the fires that will successfully forge continuing relationships with these businesses. It should be noted too that in many cases these businesses have sought us out, thus indicating that we are beginning to have some impact on the industry. All our volunteers have time to themselves to wander around the show, and in this time they too make introductions with suppliers etc that are followed up for a “close” on  a benefit or advertising. So far, this opportunity has proven more successful than the Sydney Show, but this is perhaps too because we were feeling our way then.{/rokaccess}

Day 3 saw our volunteers flat out.  And uplifted by the interest we are getting.  Yes indeed. At the close of the Show today, we had handed out applications to, AND spoken with 874 enquirers about the ACC. This is a very rewarding result for those volunteers who have given their time to be here, and reflects the interest that has been generated in the very existence of the ACC.  This can be largely attributed to the immense amount of preparation and plain hard yakka put into the launch and guidance of the ACC during its infancy and growth by the founding members. Their faith has been justified.

By the end of the show, if we can still  remain upright, at the rate we are going, we expect that we will have spoken to around 2500 individuals. Pretty much all of our application brochures are delivered into the hands of those who approach us, and thus we get to tell them what it’s all about.

All the volunteers would like to thank each and every member for the support shown us.There is no doubt that the ACC is becoming a recognized name in the RV world, and to continue this, we need all members to “show the flag” wherever possible, and sell the Club. If you feel that you can add something, in any way, please let us know. We need your support. Remember, this is YOUR club…..its success is in every members hands.
